Share the Hope Clinic

Can the church make a difference in health care crisis?

Yes! On October 17th at The East Aurora High School, 40 churches came together to meet the needs of their neighbor. Thirteen hundred volunteers gathered to serve twenty-four hundred people in need. The volunteer medical team was large enough to staff a small hospital.

Each family was led through the clinic with an advocate. The families received a hot meal and a chance to shop at the clothes closet. A spa was set-up to provide free haircuts, massages and manicures.

In 4 1/2 hours a volunteer staff provided 1550 medical appointments ranging in scope from general medical, podiatry to dentistry and vision screenings for free. The total medical dollars saved was: $208,705.00. The value of the experience: PRICELESS!
